Kari Kobe

Kari Jobe, singer, songwriter, and worship pastor might be new to the Creation Festivals but she is a veteran singer who began around the age of three. When asked about her expectations for Creation, Kari said that she “doesn’t know what to expect,” but “hopes to connect with people and lead them in worship.” She did mention “friends who attended in past years” that have shared their experiences with her, preparing her for an “amazing” experience.

Both Creation Northeast and Northwest are festivals held under the vast sky that our Creator spoke into existence. When I asked Kari about performing outside, she passionately spoke about how “it gives you an opportunity to feel different in worship,” a “different perspective” as humans “can become creatures of habit when it comes to worship and church.” Summer festivals can be a real chance to experience “a taste of just raw worship as a part of God’s creation, outside the normal routine.” She continued that “it’s just awesome” when “the wind starts blowing, like God is going past you.” Kind of like He is telling the crowd, “I’m here.”

Kari is looking forward to leading worship at both the Northeast and Northwest locations with an “expectation to meet with God and connect to who God is.” She believes that the summer festivals, “if gone about in the right way” can be an effective evangelic tool to “reach non-believers.” It’s a great way to draw people “out of their comfort zone.” A way to ignite a fire in the hearts of those not yet sold out for Christ.

If you haven’t yet met Kari Jobe, why not visit her website at www.karijobe.com. You will not be disappointed. Why not even plan a trip to Creation Northeast on June 30 – July 3, 2010 or Creation Northwest on July 21 – 24, 2010, immersing yourself in great music, while fellowshipping with others in the presence of the Living God. Wings of Hope and Kari Jobe will be there. What about you?
